Mr & Mrs Matthews received £6,431.67 in a cash lump sum, and Gladstone Brookes managed to reduce their loan by £20,029.92, saving them £101 each month for the remainder of the term of their loan.

Initially after registering their complaint against First Plus, the bank rejected the complaint stating that the policy was not mis-sold. However Gladstone Brookes decided to fight this decision and appealed it to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS)

FOS after considering the arguments of both Gladstone Brookes (on behalf of the client) and First Plus they decided with Gladstone Brookes that our client had been mis-sold their PPI policy and ordered that the redress be paid to our clients.
