The Warrington Wolves Charitable Foundation

Building a Stronger Community Through Sport

As part of our commitment to the community, Gladstone Brookes have been working with the Warrington Wolves Foundation to help improve the lives of children in our community. The foundation is the Charity work of the Warrington Wolves Rugby League Club.

We call them ‘The Wolves’ and as we speak they currently sit at the top of the Super League table and have held the current Challenge Cup since they won it in 2009 and again in 2010 (in 2011 they were kind enough to bring it to our office for the day!). We understand that not everyone is familiar with Rugby League, but Warrington is a ‘rugby town’ with an average home crowd in excess of 10,000 a game.

Our Contribution:

Gladstone Brookes purchased three season tickets from the Warrington Wolves and donated these tickets to the ‘Wolves Foundation’. The tickets will allow two children along with their parent/guardian to attend the most popular sporting event in the Warrington community, something they may not have normally been able to participate in, and they will have the liberty of enjoying all the home games with The Wolves.

“It’s good to know that we have an opportunity to change children’s lives, even if it is only for one day. The experience the children will have attending the Wolves on match day will hopefully remain with them for a while.”Sales Manager, Gary Watmough.

Our hard work:

For years we have been giving back to our clients. Currently we are giving out clients the money back they are due from the banks that have mis-sold them PPI. When Gladstone Brookes heard about the opportunity to give something to the local children in the community, we were eager to participate. Gladstone Brookes is a business committed to both It’s customers and the surrounding community.

From time to time, we can all forget how lucky in life we are and we can only hope that this small token from Gladstone Brookes will be felt by many children in the community. This is just the start of GB’s charitable work in the community and we hope we can find more successful charities like the Wolves Foundation to support.
