CHARITY OF THE MONTH – £595 for the Cancer Research Campaign

Jen Marchant is the first person to nominate a charity for our new style Give All Charity Of The Month, which she shared with partner Kyle Innes who used to work in the call centre before moving to his new job with Franklaw WTW.

Cancer has had a direct effect on both of their lives with Jen’s uncle dying from bowel cancer and Kyle’s dad also dying of cancer in 2017.

Lovely man

Said Jen: “My uncle James was a lovely man and it was a big shock when he was diagnosed.

I took part in a 10K race to raise money for his treatment last year, but unfortunately he passed away.

“Then when Kyle decided he was going to run the London Marathon to raise funds for the Cancer Research Campaign I decided to nominate them for one of our charities of the month and pledge the cash to Kyle’s own efforts.”

Former colleague

trying new ways to help beat cancer is what made me want to help. My father also lost his life to cancer in 2017 so I ran the marathon for him and James.”

Anyone wanting to contribute further to Kyle’s fundraising can do so online at https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/kyles-london-marathon

“The charity for May is Alder Hey, nominated by Emily Addison.”
