We have been advised that the following numbers have contacted members of the public claiming to be connected to Quote wizard which is an insurance comparison site.
The caller tends to advise that the Victim has PPI due back and provides them with a sum to tempt them but the catch is to get avoid up to 60% tax on the refund they need an insurance product that GB will call them about if the Victim gives the caller more details.
“This is NOT a genuine call. Gladstone Brookes only deal with PPI for current customers and have no connection with Quote Wizard and No insurance product is required to avoid Tax on PPI claims!”

But scammers can and do use a range of numbers frequently swapping numbers and developing new scams to try to catch innocent people off guard.
