Zoe Cawthorne successfully claimed back PPI on an HSBC loan on her own but was dismayed by the amount of time it took.

“It was actually quite a recent one and I had all the paperwork. I did it by letter and eventually got my money, but it took ages for them to sort it out,” she said.

Didn’t have the time

“I had an idea there might be more. I’ve had a number of loans with HSBC, but I didn’t have the paperwork for them and with a three-year-old and a one-year-old I just didn’t have the time or the inclination to see if there was anything owed on the others.”

That was when she saw the Gladstone Brookes TV advert and decided to ask for help to see if she had PPI attached to any other agreements.

Service

She said: “I was talking to a friend about what I might be owed and the friend told me I should see what else there might be. With having the children I realised I needed someone to help me and the service I got from Gladstone Brookes was fantastic.

“The whole system was well set up and nothing seemed to be a problem for them. I was expecting £300 back, but they found another six HSBC loans with PPI on them and I ended up with over £6,200±. I’ve been recommending them to all my friends.”
